- KODC was registered at Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC)

- NIFS officially started to operate the KODC

- KODC dedicates to the acquisition, processing, quality control,
archiving, analysis, and dissemination of oceanographic data and
information on domestic and international basis
