1 ton of King Halibut(so called King Nupchi which reflects the halibut’s excellent quality) exported overseas for the first time in a living state thanks to the development of a transport container for live-fish.
The breed was developed by Genetics & Breeding Research Center of NFRDI and the container was made jointly by NFRDI and Geoje Fish Farming Association. This would trigger halibut exports all over the world to guarantee growth for the halibut breeding industry. |
