*The review and assessment system for aquafarming license is a decision-making system of whether to re-license for the systematic management and sustainable production of fisheries products by undertaking a comprehensive assessment of both fisheries environment and management prior to the expiration date of subject aquafarms. 

The situation office provides a wide range of services such as ▲to consult and assist fishermen and other receivers subject to the system with information provision, ▲to aid the operation committee, and ▲to monitor how the assessment proceeds.

The President Choi, Yong-seok said, 'NIFS will carry out the review and assessment system for aquafarming license without a hitch through strengthened communications between the situation office, fishermen, and local governments.' The President added, 'We will also carry out the system in a reliable and transparent manner for the sustainable production of farmed fisheries products as well as the systematic management of aquafarms.'
