NIFS announced that 4 tons of live-oyster will be exported to Vladivostok, Russia (approx 1,800㎞ in 4 days) by using the intelligent containers that NIFS developed through joint research with Geoje fisheries farming association and ARA F&D.

*The transport system consists of three parts: Power Source Part including uninterruptible power supply(UPS), circuit breaker, fuse, etc.; Control Part including temperature sensor, dissolved oxygen(DO) sensor, etc.; and Transport Part including oxygen generator, heater & chiller, large water tank, pump, etc.

NIFS had an experience in using live-fish containers to export king olive flounder from Busan to LA (17,000㎞ in around 13 days) in 2012 for the expansion of global market.
