NIFS announced its establishment of global standard process for histamine control designed for the Dongwon F&B canned tuna factories located in South Korea (Changwon), the Independent State of Samoa, the Republic of Ecuador, and the Republic of Senegal. *The limit of histamine is 50mg/kg in U.S., 100mg/kg in EU and Japan, and 200mg/kg in South Korea and Codex Alimentarius Commission The CEO Kim, Sung-yong of Dongwon F&B said, “We will gradually expand the application of this standard for histamine control to our manufacturing factories in and outside the country. Also, the continuous mutual R&D partnership between Dongwon F&B and NIFS is expected to raise the level of canned tuna quality and food safety control.” |
