With the participation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, national and provincial institutes dedicated to fisheries, the Korea Fisheries Resources Agency (FIRA) and the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, the NFRDI hosted a working group meeting on January 29, 2015 to discuss how to promote cooperation among and effective operation of participating organizations.

The NFRDI had a Public Relations Practitioners’ Workshop in Busan Youth Hostel Arpina on January 15, 2015 to build up capabilities of members in charge of public relations so as to actively promote research outcomes of our institute.

The Inland Fisheries Research Institute of the NFRDI sponsored and supported the 2015 International Sancheoneo (River salmon) Symposium held in Hwacheon on January 18, 2015, with the participation of 130 experts from home and abroad. The symposium is a part of the annual Sancheoneo Festival organized by Hwacheon County.

The NFRDI had a New Year kick-off meeting on January 2, 2015 with the participation of all NFRDI members.

The NFRDI and the Korea Fisheries Association (KFA) co-hosted the 2015 New Year Festival on January 1, 2015 with the participation of local residents.

The NFRDI had the Annual Award Ceremony for highly performing members during its year-end party held on December 31, 2014.

The NFRDI had a retirement ceremony with the participation of all members on December 30.

The NFRDI had a seafood kimchi making event on December 12 with local residents and shared kimchi with numbers of social welfare centers, including children protection facilities and rehabilitation centers for the disabled, etc.

 

The Aquatic Life Disease Control Division of the NFRDI had a meeting on December 9 to review the 2014 projects and 2015 plans with the participation of experts and stakeholders.
