On Feb. 23, the 1st southeastern tripartite symposium was held at South Sea Fisheries Research Institute of KORDI under the theme of ‘Conservation of Sea Environment and Green Growth’. This symposium was co-hosted by Southeast Sea Fisheries Research Institute of NFRDI, South Sea Fisheries Research Institute of KORDI and Department of Marine Science of Gyeongsang National University attended by 50 officials.
The 7th Korea-Japan-China Jellyfish Workshop was held in Gyeongju, Korea, 20-22 December 2010. In the workshop, 47 research papers on jellyfish biology and monitoring were presented.
Cetacean Research Institute, NFRDI held the international symposium on the marine protected species in Busan, Korea on November 9, 2010. Attended by many scientists from America, Japan, Australia and the Netherlands, the symposium was served as a good opportunity for in-depth talks on conservation of the protected marine species.
The El Salvador Delegation headed by Mr. Carlos Enrique, president of National Association of Private Enterprises made a visit to NFRDI to enlarge their understanding of Korea\'s fishery and discuss on possibility of mutual cooperation on fishery industry.
