Effective conservation and management of marine mammals including whales and dolphins
Ecological studies
- Stock assessment of minke whales in Korean waters using sighting surveys, stock definition by population genetics and registration of DNA sequences for individual identification
- Diversification of monitoring methods including photo identification, satellite tagging, aircraft surveys and so on
- Presentation of scientific basis for the development of eco-friendly maritime industry such as ecotourism or whale and dolphin watching
