Since its foundation, the center has played a key role in developing and distributing disease diagnosis, prevention and treatment system by offering real-time medical service. Still fish farmers are suffering from foreign disease and farm aging caused by global warming and intensive farming for long time. Those issue were proved to be more serious than what they were thought to be like.

Therefore, NIFS reached to a conclusion it is needed to update the center's webpage with information on symptoms and diagnosis and prevention methods of various diseases.

To deal with the disease related problems, the Korea Fish Disease Information Center is focused on developing innovating and highly advanced diagnosis and vaccination techniques. By doing so, the center is trying to make a difference in pathology and safety of rish and fish products.
